Visit to the Doctors

It looks like Mackenzie is the first of our kids to have to get a cast put on. This last weekend while she was going down the slide with another girl in our park her foot got caught and twisted on her. She started to cry so we took her home and iced it. We kept an eye on her over the weekend but come Monday she still would not walk on it and complained that it hurt. We took her into the Doctors on Monday morning and they took X-rays but couldn't tell. They wanted a specialist to look at them and said they would call us on Wednesday. So on Wednesday we got the call that she had a Toddler Fracture or what's also known as a Spiral Fracture. So this afternoon we took her and she got fitted for her first cast. She did amazing and was really happy to have a new bright pink sock put on her foot. Give it a couple of days and I bet she won't be as happy. She has to have it on for three weeks. On top of this we are potty training her and she is doing really good. We just hope not being able to walk won't hinder her progress with staying dry.

Oh, I am sad for her! But let her know she chose the coolest color of a cast ever!!!

I swear you didn't update your blog forever and now there's like 10 new things! I loved the blessing dress and I still don't think it's fair they didn't take spouses to McCall. Kade just got his cast off, the doctor asked if he wanted a pink one but I said a great big NO to that one! It's cool for MacKenzie though. Have fun with it!

Hi Snickers!

I can't believe this. She isn't very old. I was thinking I don't think I have ever had a "pink" sock. I do remember having to have a cast made of my leg when I was being fitted for my brace during the infamous ACL time. I have heard they are itchy and hot. I hope she makes it through these three weeks in flying colors. The "pinkness" reminds me of Rachel. She is "pink" at heart. Rachel would say she has great taste! Love ya!
