Chunky Baby

Kaitlyn has gotten so big. She is not even six months old yet and she is so chunky. She is already growing out of some of her 6-9 month clothes. She has rolls on her rolls. Her latest thing is playing with her feet. Anytime you put her on the ground, as long as she is in a good mood, she will grab her feet and hang on. She starts to laugh and pulls them to her mouth. It's funny and entertaining.

Easter Family Pictures

Nicky decided that she wanted to have everyone dress up for Easter and get some pictures of our little family. Cameron and Caleb both had on green button up shirts while Mackenzie and Kaitlyn had matching dresses of pink and purple. Nicky went with a nice blue to contrast the rest of the family. Everyone looked really cute and we got some really good family pictures out of it. Of course it didn't hurt that we used the kids Easter candy as a way to bribe them in order to get them to smile for us. We told them if they smiled big and sat where we told them they could have some of their candy. Worked like a charm.

Easter Egg Hunt

We spent our Easter weekend down in Twin Falls with Nicky's family. The neighbors put on an Easter Egg Hunt for the ward and our kids had a blast. Caleb took off on his own and was doing great. At one point we had to tell him to stop so that there would be enough eggs for the other kids. Once he realized he needed to stop he started to help Mackenzie look for them and point them out. He was a great big brother to her and made sure she found a lot herself. We all had a great time running around, even though it was a little cold outside. Caleb wanted to start eating all the candy right away, so we had to put down some rules so we wouldn't have to deal with a sugar high all day.

Date Night

Five years ago on April 1st Nicky and I met for the first time. To celebrate and of course get a good excuse for a babysitter we decided we wanted to go on a date Friday night. Trying to stay out of trouble I figured it would be good to plan a nice dinner and then a movie or whatever Nicky wanted. I left it up to her to decide. I promise this was all her doing but of course I didn't argue. When all was said and done we ended up getting a relatively fast dinner at Q' doba and then headed for the Qwest Arena for hockey game. We even had some friends of ours meet us there. I have to admit I am the luckiest guy. I got a great meal that I didn't have to do the dishes and a hockey game without getting in trouble. Now you can't beat that for a date night. Both sides won on this one.
