Cereal Time

Messy, but well worth it. Kaitlyn has started eating cereal now. As you can see it is a very messy process but Nicky is loving it because he means less feeding from her and longer hours through the night. Kaitlyn is still unsure about the whole thing. She hasn't taken well to a bottle and doesn't always play nice when its time to eat. I think she just loves her mommy so much she doesn't want to eat any other way.

Cast Off!!

Mackenzie got her cast off today and couldn't be happier. She was walking all over the place and honestly walked like she had too much to drink. She went up to everyone and showed them her foot and would say, "Look, cast off." Then she would start walking all over the place like nothing ever happened. When we first got to the doctors office she was fast asleep. As soon as they started cutting into the cast to take it off she was up. She freaked out a little until she realized her Daddy was right there holding her. After the cast was off they did some X-Rays and everything looked great. We have to keep her from overdoing it for the next couple of weeks but other than that things are looking good.

Visit to the Doctors

It looks like Mackenzie is the first of our kids to have to get a cast put on. This last weekend while she was going down the slide with another girl in our park her foot got caught and twisted on her. She started to cry so we took her home and iced it. We kept an eye on her over the weekend but come Monday she still would not walk on it and complained that it hurt. We took her into the Doctors on Monday morning and they took X-rays but couldn't tell. They wanted a specialist to look at them and said they would call us on Wednesday. So on Wednesday we got the call that she had a Toddler Fracture or what's also known as a Spiral Fracture. So this afternoon we took her and she got fitted for her first cast. She did amazing and was really happy to have a new bright pink sock put on her foot. Give it a couple of days and I bet she won't be as happy. She has to have it on for three weeks. On top of this we are potty training her and she is doing really good. We just hope not being able to walk won't hinder her progress with staying dry.

Mackenzie's Birthday

Mackenzie with her new princess dress and night gown.

Mackenzie just turned 2 years old and got to celebrate it for two days. We had a little princess party on Saturday for all of her little girlfriends in the neighborhood. They all had so much fun. Nicole had little necklaces and rings and other jewelry for them to wear. On Sunday we had more of a laid back birthday party for her with the family. Grandma and Grandpa Roberts got to see her open her present from them on the webcam and she opened her presents from us too. She had so much fun being a little princess and of course daddy loves his little princess and calls her that all the time. I doubt she will have much of a complex.

Make-Up

So Mackenzie had her first experience with make-up. When mom had her back turned she went into our bathroom and found moms large selection of beauty tools. The next thing we know Mackenzie is sitting on the floor with mascara all over her face. At least she got most of it near her eye. She has a good idea of where it is suppose to go. Hopefully we can keep her from actually wanting to wear makeup for awhile.

Trip to McCall, ID

Cameron just got back from an all day trip up to McCall, Idaho for their Winter Festival. His work took all of them up there as a reward for a job well done. They spend the day looking at all of the ice sculptures that are famous during this time and playing in the snow. I wonder sometimes who the real kids are in our family...lol Overall he had a great time hanging out with his fellow co-workers and a nice break from everyday work.

Baby Blessing

While Mom and Dad were in town for the weekend we blessed Kaitlyn at church. Bethany and Nathan came up from Utah to be there for it along with Nicky's parents who came up from Twin Falls. Kaitlyn looked so cute in her little blessing dress. We had a lot of fun having so much family in town for our special occasion.

New Years with Grandma and Papa Roberts

Cameron's parents came up for the New Year to see the kids and play with us. This is the first time they had seen our little Kaitlyn so she got a lot of attention. It gave Nicky and wonderful break. All the kids loved having Grandma and Papa up to visit and spend time with them. Caleb had a blast sitting with his Papa and of course causing trouble with him. Kaitlyn was right at home in Grandma's arms and Grandma was eating it up. Mackenzie got her new bedding over the weekend too and was having a lot of fun in her new Princes bed. She wanted to go to bed just so she could be a princes like her bed.

Visit with Santa

It's been a very eventful weekend. We had two Christmas parties that we went to. One was for Cameron's work and the other was for our ward. It was good to get out and go to both. The one for Cameron's work we only took Kaitlyn so it was a nice night out without worrying too much about the kids getting into anything. Everyone wanted to hold Kaitlyn so we were able to enjoy ourselves and dance a little too. At the ward Christmas party Santa showed up to visit with all of the kids. Caleb and Mackenzie both were excited to see him. We even had to hold Mackenzie back because she kept trying to run up in front of everyone to jump in Santa's lap. Even Kaitlyn seemed to be having fun with Santa. Although I doubt she had any idea what was going on. She did do good with everyone though. Marlena had fun holding Kaitlyn and is really good with the kids. We like to have her babysit for us. Hilary is with Nicky and Mackenzie. She lives not too far from us and is expecting her first baby. The really cool thing is she also happened to be one of the nurses that took care of Nicky while she was in the hospital with Kaitlyn. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!

Early Christmas Present

Grandma and Grandpa Roberts decided they wanted to get something for our new home for Christmas. One thing that we have always wanted was a big lounge sack and that is what we got. It's microfiber so that makes it easy on the clean up. Caleb and Mackenzie can't get enough of it. They love to play on it and especially sit on it with their daddy and read or watch TV with him.
